It's Thursday. And I am so thankful to be safe and sound at home. This week has been extremely difficult on my city, and I still can't get over the initial shock of all the damage. It's going to take quite a long time to get the city of Columbia back on its feet.
Todays TT is a little out-of-the-ordinary due to the disaster this week. As I mentioned earlier this week, my water was contaminated. So I couldn't do simple things like shower, wash my face, or drink water out of the faucet. We had limited amounts of bottled water, so I cherished each bottle as pure gold.
When school got cancelled for the rest of the week, many students decided it was best to head home (and I was ready to oblige!). Do you want to know the very first thing I did once I was home-sweet-home? Shower. I did not pass go. I hightailed it right upstairs. Yup. It's amazing how we take something so trivial as taking a shower for granted. Needless to say I was extremely happy to have running water.
I am so grateful to be home and able to drink water. Whenever I want. And as much of it as I please. I am not wondering when I will get my next sip of water. So today's Thirsty Thursday is dedicated to, you guessed it, water. Because I have a new appreciation for my good ole friend.

Refreshing, healthy, and keeps you alive! Yum. Thank you for keeping South Carolina in your thoughts and prayers! It means the world to me. Have a great Thursday!
