I assume some of you are cozied up inside with all of the recent snow fall. Back at home, we hit record amounts of snow. My poor mom had to shovel five times in one day... five! And then some more the next day. Many of you have school/work off today and probably up through mid-week.
This means time cooped up indoors. Which can be claustrophobic-like. It's easy to get on each others nerves. It can be exhausting when you have to go out and shovel for the umpteenth time. Or dry you kids drenched snow gear over and over. But when it starts to get... well not-so-fun anymore? When you want to scream at the top-of-your-lungs UNCLE? Take a moment to freeze. Close your eyes. Stop what you're doing and remember how special this time is. Having everyone under one roof. How rare. How limited. How quickly this time will all slip away from your fingertips.

SURVIVING SNOW DAYS
Make the most of your time home with loved ones. Drink hot coco on repeat all. day. long. Cozy up by the fire and get some leisure reading in. Do you want to build a snowman? Have a snowball fight. Bake some chocolate chip cookies. Play board games with your family/ friends (my family fav). Check off a home project you've been waiting months to accomplish. Enjoy each others company. Because, it won't be long until everyone is back to reality. Back to school. And work. And soccer practice. And PTA meetings. Enjoy the quiet. The stillness. The leisure of not having to leave your home.
What are you doing on this cozy Monday?
PS: Not-so-cozy Monday for me in South Carolina. Just a regular school day. So all of you with days off? I am jealous!!!
