Now that the count down to 2015 is behind us, I would like to take a moment to reminisce on the holidays. First off, I. love. holidays. No seriously, I am still that toddler at Christmas time with so much excitement filled in my belly. The anticipation, finding the perfect gift, and spending time wrapped in cosy blankets relaxing by the fire... and simply soaking in the precious time with the people I love so dearly. Family is something that I treasure. I know I hit the #jackpot with mine and couldn't feel more blessed- especially around the Holiday Season!
My family did our ritual gift exchange right before bed on Christmas Eve. It is something that started when we were just little kids. Mom would give us each a couple dollars to spend on each other. We would buy "little nothings" but we were nonetheless still overjoyed to (poorly) wrap them up and see the smiles they brought on that magical night.
A funny side story: One time I went into the 'pizza-with-Santa-gift-shop' and my mom only had a $20 bill and wanted all of us to share it. I went in first (we all went in separately to keep it a surprise!) and I was expected to bring out the change for the next shopper. Well... lets just say that I was SO excited to be a grown up and shop alone (with my mom standing nearly ten feet out the door.. ha!) that I accidentally got carried away and spent ALL of the money... #oops! Now that we have grown up, my siblings and I buy each other much nicer gifts. The coolest part is we still put that same childhood excitement in 'finding the perfect gifts' that we did at that little shop years back. What are your #holidaytraditions??

I am definitely someone who loves the idea of a fresh start. The New Year represents more than just a new number we write on the top of our papers, the start of a year brings new beginnings, goals, ambitions, and most importantly a clean slate. Are there decisions you regret in 2014? Try not to make the same mistake in 2015 and you're golden! Is there something you wish you would have said or done? Now is a chance to take that leap of faith and go for it! It is a time embrace your life and not take a single day for granted. There is something so refreshing about putting last year in the books and embracing a new one!
So cheers to 2015 and #newbeginnings and #Ihopeyoudance through it all!!
