It is F.R.I.D.A.Y. Finally. I had a busy week full of assignments and tests, so I haven't gotten much sleep these past few days. So, I am excited to (sort of) get a reprieve. I have a busy week full of tests and projects ahead. So studying is in my future. Yay.
But for now? I am savoring up this time to relax. I have to remind myself to take breaks. It seems intuitive, but it can be hard to find time for yourself. But we all need it. It's healthy for our minds, bodies, and overall health. I often have to repeat to myself that 'it's okay'. I am someone who loves to cross everything off my checklist before I can enjoy myself. I was even that kid who would finish my homework right after school and then go outside and play. My sister is the total opposite and it seriously cracks me up thinking about it! So pretty much ever since I can remember, I always wanted to tackle my list pronto.
Over the years, my to do lists grow. And grow. And. Grow. And while it's great to be a go getter, I also have to remind myself that if I don't take breaks I will go crazy. Even if it's getting fresh air or listing to a few songs while closing my eyes, we all need to take breaks.
So if you have that long laundry list you're dreading this weekend (don't we all?), remember to make time for you. It can seriously be as simple as five minutes. Close your door and have a few minutes of silence, or go for a run listening to your favorite tunes. Whatever it is, make time for yourself because I know it will make you happier too!

THREE // If you missed yesterday's post, or just haven't gotten a chance to browse through Lilly for Target... stop what you're doing and look. I keep going back to look at the line because, well, I am obsessed! Do it.
FOUR // This skirt is adorable and on sale! I would like one in every color, please.
FIVE // Here is a good laugh. A real good belly laugh (the best kind). I can't get enough of this show.
