It's the final count down. Christmas is (finally) this week. So shopping is (hopefully) coming to a halt. I still have lots of presents to wrap, but luckily last minute shopping is not in my future.
We are less than a week away from Christmas, and for some this can be daunting. Stressful. Heart-pounding. Sweat-falling. The people who just wish there was a dislike button on the Holiday Season all together. Yeah. We all have those uncomfortable family interrogations where your great aunt asks what you're doing after graduation and you're just hoping to pass finance. Or your grandma asking when you're going to have a baby... cause you know you have been married for months now so what are you waiting for!? And then there is the hustle and bustle of finding the perfect gifts for your loved ones without totally scraping away every last penny from your college beer, I mean book, fund!
So whether this time-of-year is stressful because of those family get-togethers or buying the perfect gifts for your kiddos, Christmas is right around the corner and it's time to embrace it!

5 WAYS TO EMBRACE THE HOLIDAYS
A Grinch no more! It's time to embrace the real meaning of Christmas.
1. GIVING BACK
Weather that means volunteering at a local soup kitchen, or "adopting" a family to buy Christmas gifts for, take the focus off of yourself. Tis the season of giving. Not only will you make others have a great holiday, you will too.
2. BLAST MUSIC
Not just any kind of music, Christmas music. Blast it throughout your home. Your car. Your shower. Your desk (okay don't blast it at work!). And here is the fun part, let yourself sing. Like ugly-loud-almost-screaming-singing. Most likely (if you're like me..) you'll end up literally laughing-out-loud at how horrible you sound. And dance. Like nobody-is-watching-you-are-the-bomb dance moves. It will lighten your mood and get you into the holiday spirit.
3. BAKE COOKIES
Baking sugar cookies always makes me feel like the holidays are here. Anyone else?! So break out the dough, roller, Christmas tree cookie cutters, red and green sprinkles and get to work!
4. CHRISTMAS MOVIES
Something about Christmas movies brings me back to my childhood. I love the old classic Christmas movies like these. I love watching these with my sister!
5. CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL
The truth is, we are all so blessed. The problems we have can be so insignificant to some families who are hoping for just one more Christmas with their loved ones. Visit a children's hospital. Maybe bring coloring books for the kids. Or heck, just your giving heart. And you will walk out with a new outlook on life.
Who is ready for Christmas?!
